Identification
IMG_0079 shows a white thorax traced in black, banded legs and a broad dark median forewing band bordered by irregular pale markings. These support a black-etched-prominent candidate.
Lookalikes & limits
Related prominent moths, including Furcula, must be compared. One dorsal view does not establish every diagnostic feature. Older references use Cerura scitiscripta; Americerura is the current genus in the linked taxonomy.
